100% factory original 18k yellow gold Patek Philippe Ref 3970 E model. Comes 100% factory original from 1990 making it a 2nd series 3970. This is a very rare and highly collectible ref 3970. The total package that comes with this piece has a number of details that make it highly desirable to collectors. The dial is an off-white opaline color, the hour markers are squared off and the hands are leaf shaped (as opposed to baton) characteristic of vintage 3970's. The dates in the window are the early serif font, the movement number starts with 875XXX and the certificate is a vintage style, which folds in half rather than into three pieces and is BLANK so you can be the first to write your name on it. The box is the early edition with the gold stripe and the tang buckle is 12 mm in size which again adds to its rarity as very few came with this size tang buckle. This package also includes the original 3970 marketing booklets and hangs tag. You simply will not find a more complete package assembled exactly the same as the day it was delivered 21 years ago by the Patek Philippe factory.
