This magnificent Patek Ref.# 2516 circa 1953 was the personal favorite in an extensive watch collection originally owned by the late, legendary Shreveport, Louisiana Oil Man/Philanthropist/Horseman, Albert Sklar. Mr. Sklar, a fixture on the annual Bijan 100 Best-Dressed list, coveted this particular watch to the point that it was kept safely tucked away in his safe deposit box for almost a half-century and only wore it on a few extra special occasions, most notably the weddings of his 3 children. The last known auction of the 2516 was in 2003. This vintage model is considered to be very rare & is highly sought after by the vintage Patek collector.
